Fenton Forrest Bramble

Tonight Fenton got into the "spirit" of Halloween and dressed up in his friendly ghost outfit!! He loves dressing up and has requested some "costumes" for his birthday!!

It's lovely seeing Fenton and Lorien playing together. The other day I could hear Lorien in fits of giggles and I popped my head round the door to see her lying on her back with Fenton blowing raspberries on her tummy! They love chasing each other round the house and he is involving her more and more in what he is doing whether it is racing cars, pushing dollies in pushchairs or making tea in the play kitchen. He tells her that he loves her and he likes to kiss her on top of her head! Hopefully they will always get on well!!!

We passed a buiding today that had been converted into flats. "Do you know what a flat is?" I asked Fenton. "Yes" he replied very confidently "it's a short house!" You have to laugh at what they come out with!!!

We were a bit confused today when Fenton came running in saying that the boob had gone from his room. We went upstairs to investigate and discovered that he meant that the bulb had gone in his light!

Following on from yesterday's journal entry, today Fenton came into our bedroom fully dressed this time! It wasn't until lunchtime that I discovered he had swimming shorts on under his trousers rather than underpants!! I'm glad that he's becoming more responsible and dressing himself though. Well done Fenton!

Fenton came into our room this morning already dressed in underpants and a long-sleeved tee-shirt. I was very impressed that he had managed to dress himself although I went into his room later and found several tops scattered around his room. He must have been deciding what to wear today!!

During our dinner tonight Lorien started waving her spoon around with food on it and Fenton promptly copied her. "Don't copy Lorien" we told him "She's just a baby!" "No she's not a baby" he said "She's a toddler!" Smart Alec Fenton!

More increasingly Fenton is asking me what words say on bill boards, in magazines and the like. It's good that he has an interest in words. He signed a birthday card for Granny the other day and wrote the perfect "F" so hopefully he will be able to write his own name soon too!
