Today Fenton and Lorien got all dressed up for their friend Isabella's 3rd birthday party. So here's Fenton as a Power Ranger and Lorien as a snow fairy!! Ah don't they look cute?

Today we had a little birthday party for Fenton. His little friends Lola, CJ and Amelia arrived and we played Pass the Parcel and Musical Bumps and afterwards we all sang Happy Birthday whilst Fenton blew out the candles on his Thomas the Tank Engine cake!! Much later when it had got dark and only his grandparents remained we set off some fireworks to mark the occasion! I'm glad that Fenton's party was a success and that the birthday boy had a really good time.

Fenton has been looking forward to turning 3 for such a long time now so he was very excited when his birthday finally came round. "I'm a big boy now" he told us this morning. Amongst his presents were a big garage with lots of cars, Hulk hands, a Thomas game, face painting set, Elefun game and a Thomas watch. And from his Granny he received an easel with lots of bits with it and from his Grandma and Grandad he received a Bosche work bench and some power tools! He went to the Madhouse this afternoon and in the evening we all went out to dinner at Old Orleans. I ordered Fenton spare ribs as he had never had them before. They suited him down to the ground because he loves getting his hands messy and he likes to pretend to be a dog!!! We had a lovely meal and a couple on the next table even commented on how well behaved our children were during dinner!!! All in all I think Fenton had a lovely 3rd birthday!

At dinnertime tonight Fenton was telling us about a cow that he had seen being milked on a TV programme ".....yes and they put metal things on its willy" he told us! He gave us a right laugh but we had to quickly correct him!

Fenton finally seems to be understanding numbers and he can now proudly count up to 10!!!

Today Fenton had his first of 3 settling in sessions called the Caterpillar Group at Blagrave Nusery. Fenton had a really good time painting and playing with the toys especially the "outside" play where there was a wooden playhouse, sandpit, pasta table, trains and lots of puddles to splash around in!! When the hour and a half session finised he didn't want to leave. "I like nursery" he said as we walked home. I've told him that he will go to nursery on his own in January. "No Mummy, not let me cross the road on my own!" he said!! So I reassured him that I will take him there but he'll stay at nursery on his own. He's going to love going there and it's such a nice nursery.

Fenton has been learning the alphabet song and can now nearly sing it all although some of it is a bit hurried!!!
