Fenton Forrest Bramble

We had some good news this morning when we found out that Fenton has been offered a place at the nursery that we really wanted him to go to. He will start at Blagrave in January and go 5 afternoons a week. I just know that he's really going to love it there but it will be strange for me not having him around for a few hours each day. I am sure Lorien will miss him too.

Fenton has done really well with his potty training and has been in underpants for nearly 6 months now. The other day I took away his potty to encourage him to use the toilet which he hasn't found a problem and today whilst at the Madhouse he got himself off to the toilet on more than one occasion and he even remembered to wash his hands afterwards!! He tells me "I'm a big boy now Mummy!" and it's true - he's growing up fast!

At the weekend we bought Fenton and Lorien a play kitchen and they love it! I've since bought a plastic shopping trolley, food and plates to go with it and Fenton loves making me pretend cups of tea (I can't stand it in real life) and they both love pushing the little trolley around with the food in it!

Fenton's been doing really with learning some nursery rhymes recently. One of his favourites is "Incey Wincey Spider" and he likes to shout out the word "spider" as loud as he can! He also knows "Baa Baa Black Sheep", "Humpty Dumpty" and "Hickory Dickory Dock" to name but a few. He's even got Lorien singing the opening line of "Bob the Builder"!

Fenton absolutely adores the CBeebies website! He knows how to turn the computer on and go to "Favourites" to find it and he's very good at using the mouse and the select button to drag things on screen. There are so many games on the website I am sure it will be a long time til he gets bored of it and it's good for his computer skills and he's learning words like "Go" and "Play" aswell. Thinking back to my own childhood I didn't use a computer til I was about 14 years old and here Fenton is at 2 1/2 years old knowing how to use a mouse and the spacebar and things - times have certainly changed!

Today it was Lorien's 1st birthday and we had a little party for her. Fenton loved all the toys she received and we had to keep telling him that they were Lorien's and not his :) I think he enjoyed seeing his cousins, Ellie and Alex and playing in the castle and ball pit with them!

Today whilst Fenton was out in the front garden with Daddy he pointed to the lounge windows and said "Daddy were those windows expensive?" I really don't know where he gets these things from!!!
