Fenton Forrest Bramble

We have just come back from a lovely weeks holiday touring around the Scottish Highlands and Fenton has had the time of his life. We went on a cruise down Loch Ness (didn't see Nessie though), visited Urquhart Castle, visited the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre, went up Cairngorm Mountain, went on the Strathspey Steam Railway, visited the Black Isle Wildlife & Country Park and also spent a few days visiting his Uncle Neil and Great Grandma. If it wasn't for the chance to go up in the plane again I don't think he would have wanted to come home!!

Now when we ask Fenton how old he is he will answer "2". OK so he won't be 2 until another two months but it's easier than saying "I'm 22 months!" :)

Fenton came running in from the garden today excitedly shouting "duck! duck!" and pointing with his finger to the lawn. And you're right it wasn't a duck sat there on the grass - it was a pigeon! I guess at Fen's age all birds are ducks :)

Today we moved Fenton from his cot and into a toddler bed. The bed is a very cool looking red Ferrari bed which Fenton loves! However he doesn't love the child gate that has appeared at his bedroom door!!

I had often heard that between the ages of 21 and 22 months toddlers suddenly have an influx of words and today we've noticed that Fenton is suddenly coming out with more words. Today he has come out with many new words including tractor, banana, spanner, dirty, pea, bread, boat, tray, toast and chocolate. He's very good at copying so hopefully his vocabularly will increase at a rate of knots now!
