Bob & Barley

May 20th 2007

Since Fenton has been in a cot his favourite bedtime bear has been Barley. At Butlins the other week Fenton became very fond of Bob the Builder so we bought him a soft "Bob" doll. Now when he goes to bed he cuddles both Bob and Barley but he's obviously a loyal friend as when I tuck him in at the end of the night it's always Barley that he's snuggled up against.

Today I went to Longleat Safari Park with Mummy, Daddy and Granny. It was fun seeing the lions and tigers but Daddy wasn't impressed when some monkeys jumped on our car. The big meanie shook them off!! Afterwards we walked through a butterfly garden, went on a little train, visited Pets Corner and then took a cruise on one of the river boats where we saw the sealions being fed. It was a good day out and I enjoyed myself.

Here is a photo of Fenton with his little friend William who came round to play today. It was lovely looking back at the photo I published on Fenton's site last May of the two of them together! How our boys are growing up!

Butlins holiday

May 7th 2007

Today we took Fenton on holiday to Butlins in Bognor Regis. He had a lovely time meeting Bob the Builder, dancing at the Red Coat shows, having his face painted for the first time, going on lots of rides and going swimming in the pool. We all had lots of fun and are looking forward to our next visit.

Where's the baby?

May 3rd 2007

I've been trying to tell Fenton that he has a new brother or sister on the way but he doesn't quite understand. I pointed to my belly and said "baby" and now when we ask "where's the baby?" he lifts up his tee-shirt and proudly points to his belly button!! Poor little chap I hope he's not too surprised when we bring our new arrival home!

Pointing to pictures and body parts

May 2nd 2007

Fenton loves his picture books and has learnt lots of new words recently. He can now point out 25+ objects in his 'First Words' book, and knows 11 different body parts. He's such a clever little boy!! We're now just waiting for him to start being able to say them... We're sure it can't be far off now!!
